The clocks do not have support for SNMP but can be monitored from most tools using ping. We have found that in cases where network monitoring tools are used connectivity problems can arise if the tool periodically attempts to auto-identify devices on the network by port scanning. This is due to the limited number of network sockets that are available to the terminal. (max is 50) If port scanners are in use then issues can arise with terminal connectivity. We recommend having the terminal IP addresses omitted from any port scan software.
